Josephine Hui

​Ms. Josephine Hui is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists, and is registered under Pilot Accredited Registers Scheme for Healthcare Professions Scheme of the Department of Health, HKSAR Government.

Josephine has more than 15 years of clinical experience and has provided clinical psychological services in the Hospital Authority, the Social Welfare Department, non-governmental organizations and tertiary institution. Her clients include people of all ages and different language or cultural backgrounds. She helps clients to deal with different mental and emotional problems, improving their ability to adapt and cope with problems in times of adversity, so that they can embrace various life experiences with calm and confidence.

Josephine adopts evidence-based approaches to psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), etc., to help people suffering from mental health concerns understand and solve their problems. She believes that psychotherapy and counselling is a two-way and joint journey that the psychologist and the clients go through together, so she put emphasis on listening to the clients' needs, and accompanying them to find the most comfortable and optimal lifestyles for themselves.

In addition to individual assessment and psychotherapy, Josephine also aspires to provide pre-marital counselling services to prospective couples. She firmly believes that family is the foundation of our physical and mental wellbeing, and a healthy marriage relationship is the cornerstone of a harmonious family. Through pre-marital counselling, she hopes to strengthen the mutual understanding of couples, and prepare them for successful marriage and parenthood in the future.
